Endometriosis is a condition that there are abnormalities in the lining of the cavity which serves to protect the pregnancy (endometrium). Under normal conditions the endometrium should be in the uterine cavity, but in the case of endometriosis, endemetrium grow on the outside of the uterus. Endometriosis often occurs in organs such as ovaries, bowel, bladder, and under certain conditions occur in the entire pelvic area.
